Texas Texting Ban Takes Effect in September

On September 1st, Texas will begin enforcing a no texting while driving law. A first-time offense can hold a fine of up to $99 but repeat offenses can be fined up to $200. Drivers will be banned from reading or using their phone to type etc. There are still three remaining states that have not adopted a “no texting while driving policy: Arizona, Missouri, and Montana.
