By Team Writer / January 3, 2017

Nearly 50 new Polaris GEM electric low-speed vehicles have been deployed at the NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These vehicles will perform maintenance, landscaping and security tasks. This is not the first time these vehicles have been deployed at Kennedy. A new tool called Polaris Fleet Solutions has been developed by Polaris to enable the owners to manage their vehicles.

Key Takeaways:

  • The Kennedy Space Center has deployed nearly 50 Polaris GEM electric low-speed vehicles for security, facility maintenance, and landscaping tasks around the Space Center Visitor Complex in Cape Canaveral, Fla.
  • The center used GEM vehicles in the past, and chose the updated models for its new design, street-legal safety features, and new technology.
  • Polaris’ new telematics tool, Polaris Fleet Solutions, allows GEM owners to track vehicle locations, optimize vehicle and fleet performance, and manage vehicles by location, time or operator.
