The terms “autopilot” and “self-driving” are causing a stir for Tesla. Reports state the Federal Transport Authority in Germany is demanding “autopilot” to be removed in their advertising to avoid confusion. They state it is misleading, as the car does not drive itself. Tesla responded stating the term autopilot means reducing a drivers work load, but aren’t arguing about removing the specific terms. They have already removed “self-driving” from Chinese advertisements, after an accident occurred.
