Some mechanics have been fired because they worked on private vehicles. They were working on them during work hours which is not an acceptable practice. There are charges that will be filed on the two men who did it. One of the things that they did was allow themselves to be paid for the work they did on the cars.
- Two Howard County (Ind.) Highway Department employees were fired for working on non-county vehicles during work hours, reports the Kokomo Tribune.
- Charges are expected to be filed against Brian Nation and Chris Hawkins, two mechanics for the department.
- An investigation found that the mechanics worked on private vehicles during work hours and received compensation from some of the vehicle owners.
