FCA Recalls Ram Trucks, Police Cars for Alternator

Diodes inside the new Ram trucks and chassis cabs are the reason for the recall of about 74,833 models from 2007 to 2013. The FCA US fears the alternators might wear out and cause a short circuit, in the vehicles. This can result in an engine stall or even fire. Outside of North America, vehicles will also be recalled in Canada and Mexico.
